I love to tape reminders on my student's desks whether it is a visual schedule, a number line or a behavioral reminder I find that my students are more likely to remember if they have a visual.
When I found these cute plastic square pockets in the Target dollar section I knew they would be a great way to store reminders on my student's desks.
I created three phonics desk companions to fit into these plastic squares. I am hoping that the plastic on the squares will be more durable then lamination, which can sometimes peel off.
I made a square to help with short vowel confusion
A square to help with confusion between the lowercase letters b and d
Once the squares are printed and cut out they slide right into the plastic pockets.
I will replace the square in the pocket as the student masters the skill.
